Many interviewees
underestimate the power of a thank you note. A thank you note or
letter is a must once completing an interview! This timely
correspondence will convey to the interviewer your enthusiasm and desire
for the position. If time is of the essence, you may opt for hand
delivering or emailing a Thank You note, but never faxing.
Here are some tips to
make sure your note is well received:
-
Make sure that your note
of thanks is sincere. A standard form "Thank You" will not
do.
-
Be sure to have their
correct title and proper spelling of their name.
-
Always spell words out.
Never use abbreviations!
-
Be sure to use a good
quality paper stock.
-
Tell the interviewer how
much you enjoyed meeting him or her.
-
Establish your next point
of contact.
