Under general supervision, provide legal secretarial support related to the specific work and function of the attorneys assigned to the Center. Consistently promote and represent the firm's core values in teamwork, work product and personal interaction. Ensure exemplary client service to all internal and external clients.
Provide secretarial and administrative support for attorneys assigned to the Center. Preparation of a variety of correspondence, memoranda and legal documents required by the attorneys.
Filing documents with courts and serving notice on parties. Familiarity with the rules of court in various counties, filing timelines and chronology of pleadings.
Preparation of corporate legal documents, agreements, incorporation forms, closing binders, stock certificates.
Enter timesheets, prepare expense reports, schedule meetings and make travel arrangements. Other duties as assigned.
Reliable, flexible and able to work with attorneys who have a variety of different working styles and requests.
Knowledge of Federal and California court filing requirements.
Proficient in MS Office 2013-2016, iManage, CCC Macro Pro, Best Authority, DocXTools, IntAppTime, Acrobat DC and other legal specific software; as well as File & ServeXpress, PACER, Case Anywhere and other commonly used e-filing applications. Expert word processing skills. Open to using technology to work more efficiently.
Ability to work under pressure and maintain flexibility. Collaborative and helpful, enjoy the challenge of helping others to complete projects as a team. Flexibility to work overtime when necessary.
Exceptional written and verbal communication, with an extreme attention to detail.
Minimum of 5 years' experience working in a law firm.
